Only a few small complaints - it's a bit fiddly to construct the appropriate combination although i'm getting more used to it now, the blades could be labelled more clearly but again it gets easier to work out which is which, the container for the accessories isn't big enough to accomodate everything - especially as there was an offer of 2 extra blades - so i will have to buy a tupperware box. Complaints aside i am really impressed and use it all the time - i was worried that after a few weeks it would sit unused in a cupboard but that isnt the case at all. .

Great customer service. This is a really useful soup/smoothie maker and blender that gives great results. The customer service is excellent too - we mislaid the small clear plastic cap that fits on top of the lid, rang andrew james and got a replacement sent out free of charge. Hard to beat.

Don't know how i managed before i bought this. I have an illness that means i have very little energy, and am incapacitated a lot of the time. I make smoothies for breakfast (then have to wash the smoothie maker), so was reluctant to purchase yet another utensil to clean. However, it takes no time to clean the jug out, and no time at all to make the soup.I chop the ingredients (carrots etc do not always break down completely, but that doesn't matter to me - they can be chopped more finely, if necessary), put in some sea salt, white pepper and cover with water, and press the button (i like it smooth).

I can walk away then - it beeps to tell me when it is finished. Note that it does beep during the process, usually when it is blending the ingredients. Initially, it kept beeping because i hadn't placed the lid on properly - durgh. It is so good i bought one for my aunt, who is recovering from cancer. Good ingredients (i use sweet potatoes a lot, with other veg, and sometimes add a squeeze of tom puree, and a clove of garlic), and it is wonderful for getting your 5 a day veg intake.

Quicker and easier to use a saucepan. Quicker and easier to use a saucepan and a conventional blender. To start with you have to cut the veg to 2cm pieces. Took ages. Then i had too much veg to put into the machine once so had to use the machine twice to get enough soup for 4 people.

This took 2x 30 mins. I had no issues with the soup. But i must say the instructions are appalling. I'm still unsure if you must use the filter for the chunky soups, i didn't and my veg soup was not chunky even though i had pressed the chunky button. Finally my biggest problem was washing the machine when you can't get the bottom wet.

Fabulous Product!. As someone who had never been any good at making soup, i was very excited to discover soup makers. I didn't know they even existed before! i settled on this one due to it also having lots of other functions which meant i could get rid of a couple of old appliances i had, together with the reviews of this product and of andrew james' products generally. I was still a bit sceptical that any machine could make decent tasty soup from raw ingredients and liquid in such a short time, however it does and it is amazing! i make sure i use sufficient potato to act as a thickener (although you can thicken with a little cornflour and water once it has finished cooking and then pulse blitz it for a few seconds) and i also use stock, pepper/spices and herbs for flavour as obviously just meat and/or vegetables and water will not have much flavour!i had no problem with food burning or sticking on the bottom, despite putting the solids in first. I gave it a stir after adding the stock and i rinsed the jug (which must not be immersed in water because it has electrical components at the bottom, just like a cordless kettle) with hot water as soon as i had poured the soup. The soup maker comes with a double ended brush for cleaning and, somewhat weirdly, a green scourer. The blender setting is only good for blending liquids with solids. It would not, for example, liquidise a few bananas, but i have a mini food processor attachment on my hand held mixer for that. I bought the soup maker so i could take soup to work on the train in a screw top breaker which i can then microwave at work. Making soup to the maximum level fills three breakers and i then freeze them so i can choose a different type of soup each day rather than getting bored with the same one all week. Perfect - i can now eat healthier, really tasty soup (without all that added salt and sugar in bought soups) rather than visiting pret every day!everybody needs a soup maker!!!.

I found the soup maker machine very easy to use. When making soup you can select smooth or chunky. I quickly found out that i preferred the chunky soup, although i'm not sure that chunky is quite the right word because it is still blended to a very smooth consistency. It's really easy to make soup - just chop up your ingredients and place inside the jug, then turn it on and select the programme. I'm really impressed with the soup maker, it's something that i was living quite happily without and yet it has made a big difference to my life, thanks to andrew james products-wonderful product.

Love fresh soup but not the hassle of making it, so when i saw this soup maker on offer i thought i would give it a try, and i am glad i did, it's brilliant just throw all the ingredients of your chosen soup into the jug push a couple of buttons and hey presto perfect tasty soup in 20 -30 mins fantastic. However, it takes no time to clean the jug out, and no time at all to make the soup. Make lovely soup at lunch time then use it as a steamer for vegetables for dinner. Chuck in a few leaves of coriander, a mini piece of red chilli and a half veg stock cube and half a cup of water and hey presto 20 minutes later perfect soup is ready. It's so simple to use, ingredients in, switch on, delicious soup ready in 20 mins or so, and it requires no attention.Many a kettle soup-maker can make good soup, but can you add ingredients in the middle, like with this one?.

Nor steam your extra veg to add to the soup. Haven't used the chunky soup option yet, or crushed ice. I had a prolectrix kettle soup maker before ( which broke after two moths before,) and it had no on/off switch. The soups are the best. Leaves shop bought soups severely lacking in every department, taste,texture, everything about this is worth it.

Have made smoothies and soup successfully, nearly everyday. Makes superb soups and you can use up all kinds of odds and ends. My husband has throat cancer and the jug is fantastic i can make him so many different soups recommended to lots of people thank you. Cant believe how easy it is to make a great soup, can be chunky or smooth, throw ingredients in 25mins later a nourishing meal. I think this product is great it takes about half an hour and you have two bowls of soup, but then it blew the fuses in my house, i sent it back, it was free post, that was a fortnight ago not heard anything since, but i do love the product.

I am only using it as a soup maker. As a soup lover i have used it often. H. Makes nice soup, but i'm currently trying to work out how to get the base plate clean, as soup burnt on, and the nice brush won't shift it. Don't use any kind of cereal in it, and even potato sticks. Great machine does what it says it will do, great accessories not as powerful as my last machine i have to re blend at the end of cooking but i perhaps need to cut my ingredients smaller.
