Low-priced and cheerful but won't final. I picked this up as a cheapo mixer but right after 6 months it packed up on me previous week halfway by means of carrying out a batch of buttercream. The beaters became rigid and stopped turning and then there was a little bit of a bang and it all stopped. I applied it for perhaps 2 or 3 cakes (batter and icing) a month and i really don't depend that as major use at all. I'm in 2 minds regardless of whether to replace with anything greater - finally i want a stand mixer but right up until i have the cash and house for one i might make do and get one more of these - but continue to keep the reciept this time.

Very cheap and very very good hand mixer. One of two items i own from the russell hobbs 'food collection' this lightweight, white food mixer is effective and easy to clean. While there are certainly no frills attached, it delivers exactly what you want from a food mixed, a good variation in speeds (including appropriately slow ones at the bottom end), something that doesn't get too hot after using it for a while and a reasonable length of flexible cable that means you aren't permanently limited by the position of your sockets in the kitchen. The chrome beaters are easy to remove which makes cleaning quick and effective - overall, there is little i can do to fault this mixer. This machine is excellent for beating eggs, whisking meringue, creaming softened butter/sugar, batter mix and whisking cream.
It fits nice in the hand and is very easy to clean, cord storage is a nice touch and i have added a loop of velcro to keep the whisks attached when in storage. A light, cheap, easy to use, light duty electric mixer was required. This arrived this morning, so i haven't used it yet, but it looks and feels great in the hand - not too heavy at all. However, i should have paid more attention to other reviews, as the speeds definitely go from very fast to mega fast. I am not sure how it will cope with whisking whipping cream - i shall definitely have to work out a way of covering the bowl while i am working, or i will spend more time cleaning the kitchen that actually whisking anything.

Very Good Mixer. I find this mixer performs as good as my previous phillips mixer that cost double this one. The six speeds are useful. My only criticism is that it cannot be stood up on the worktop when not in use. .
Baking Made Easy. Having had a mixer of the same make many, many years ago(almost 30 years) we decided to renew and were pleased to find the product still in production. It has proved a boon and we hope iot will lst as long as the old one (which i now use for mixing paint!!!!).
